Review of LWED Upstairs @The Garage, 26.04.03 by Meltdown Magaznine Living with eating disorders are, to say the least, interesting. There’s a touch of Katie Jane Garside to their vocalist’s performance – a suspicion that she’s only barely holding things together, and might explode at any second. Possibly that’s just a carefully scripted part of the show, but it certainly holds the audience’s attention. The music’s equally striking – slow, atmospheric and moody, with songs like I talk to god featuring mellow vocals that sometimes explode, without warning, into violent shrieking. A very impressive start from a new band who should swiftly be making a name for themselves. James White
